ADSTER is a SCAM??

I'm curious about Adster revenue daily report which is always not telly with Pending Payment Report. So to answer my curiosity I tried to search any related post regarding Adster's info until I found this post. Let's take a look..

Adster Rock!

Look to the right of your screen on Cheezhead, below the uCheez button, and you’ll see a “sponsors” section currently promoting a group of recruiting-specific advertisers. It looks a little bit like Google AdSense, minus the “Ads by Gooooooogle” part.

This solution is powered by Adster and it rocks.

For the past few years, I’ve been waiting and looking for an AdSense alternative, and this is the best I’ve found. It’s way better than AdBrite, for example. Signing up for Adster is free and adding the code to your site or blog is a snap, just like AdSense.

Here’s a breakdown of some key differences and benefits:

* Customizable message. If you currently don’t have any ads, you can provide customizable text to promote advertising on your site. “Put your ad here.” No more serving ads you don’t want your users to view.
* Customizable flat pricing. You set how much you want an ad to be by day, week and month. One dollar is the lowest you can go (pricing on Blogs with Jobs).
* Bid option. An advertiser can bid on a specific package if they don’t want to adhere to your pricing structure and you can approve them or not.
* Clearcut revenue breakdown. Adster takes 25 percent of your profits in return for their service. You know exactly what you’re getting. Revenue breakdown from AdSense is a bit of a mystery.
* No more pimping other brands. Again, no more “Ads by Gooooooogle” on your text ad solution.
* Customizable look-and-feel. You choose exactly how you want your ad to look. This is similar to AdSense.

There are a few other bells and whistles, but you get the idea.

On the downside, there doesn’t seem to be an easy way for an advertiser to see how many impressions and clicks their ad has gotten from their Adster account. They’ll have to get such data from an analytics package for now, but I’m hopeful Adster will provide such funtionality in the future.

That said, if you’re a blogger, a job board or just some site out there with value looking to make a little extra cash with text ads aside from or in addition to another provider like AdSense, checkout Adster.

Seems to me that an important determining factor in deciding which system is better is which system maximizes your bottom line. The cost to use both systems is probably the same, which is essentially zilch, so really what we’re talking about is which system delivers the most revenue to you. While I would not be so presumptious as to ask you how much in revenue you earned from each, perhaps you can tell us if Adster generated more revenue for you than Adwords and whether you would expect the same to be true for other sites. If, for example, you feel that your site is unusual in that advertisers are more likely to purchase advertising on your site than on other sites then that would be highly relevant to other site owners. Be able to sell your own advertising on your own terms and display the ads is very appealing to almost every site owner, but be able to do so and actually doing so are often two very different things.

As Steven Rothberg points out, the determining factor is which system maximizes your bottom line better. We are finding that published comparisons are favoring ADster’s revenue model over Google Adsense and Yahoo Publisher. In the case of this one published by Associated Content, it was by 600-1200%, http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/35264/comparison_of_google_adsense_adster.html

Adsert certainly does sounds good! Anyone have any feedback on an Adster vs AdEngage?

We used the Adster service for a better part of 6 months on our site. Things seemed to be fine until it came time to payout. Minimum payout is $5. We requested a payout in Feb of 07 before the last Wed of the month as instructed and as of this date May 1, 2007 we have yet to receive a payment from them. I have contacted support dozens of times and been told that my account has been forwarded to billing only to never hear anythign else from them. About a week ago I received an email from Adster that said they were having problems with the new payment system that they had recently changed to and that payments would be sent out on Apr 30, 2007. Its now May 2, 2007 and still nothing. No payment report in the online stats, nothing. I contacted support again and they assured paymant would be sent this week. For those that were considering using the Adster service I would strongly recommend that you DON’T USE IT!

It´s difficult to take a cool breath while you are a publisher and there are plenty of offers in the net.

Much like Dan, I have been using Adster since October 2006. I was supposed to receive payments on 2/2/2007, 2/28/2007 and 4/2/2007 but I have never received a check in the mail. I have also received that email that payments will be mailed out on April 30, 2007. I also have spoken with they customer support without much help. They told me that they would talk with their supervisor and to ask again in 3 days to see if it is resolved. I’m still waiting impatiently for these checks. Adster appears to be a lost cause so far and a waste of my bandwidth.

We have had a problem with some of our publishers and fraudulent clicks. Because of this, we have upgraded our system to filter out the fraudulent publishers, but this delayed payments. We had expected all checks to go out on the April 30th, but hit a snag. All the checks have been going out this week.

I apologize for the delay during our system upgrade and any inconvenience this may have caused you.

If you have not received payment and believe you should have, please email me directly at sheffield@adster.com.

I think Adster is scam. I have earned about $77 that has been accumulated for almost a year. I set the minimum payment to $75, but when I reach my minimum payment, Adster terminate my account without any notice.

Hey man, they are not saying too many good things about Adster. I like the idea and it is exactly what I am looking for, but if there is no way to track results and if trying to collect is not easy then it’s hard to jump on board.

How do you intend to address these issues and how can people join your service with confidence? Hope you can help.

I was a victim too and posted a blog entry about it at CelebSnapShot.Com. Not received a single dime from Adster. As of this week, I dropped all Adster ads.

UPDATE:

Adster did not respond to my complaint with the BBB of San Jose. I received a letter in the mail today- letting me know they refused to cooperate or even respond. They have a known negative relationship on file with the Better Business Beareau. I notified the City of San Jose again of these findings. Adster has also deleted my account when I threatened small claims for what is owed to me. They refuse to acknowledge me. They owe me hundreds and I plan to take them to court. I will be developing a website for others to join in on this lawsuit- in order to make it a class action lawsuit. It's time to bring this company down for fraud! I hope they have good insurance.

I've been also scammed by adster.com for about 400$, they were about to sent me the check in 28th August 2008, since that day they don't answer my emails,my tickests, in the live chat no one appears to give me assistence, i tried to call and nothing. So i decided leave a complaint at BBB.org, adster.com have until 20 August to answer to the comply, after that i don't know what happens, but anyway i will lose several hours on forums & blogs sharing my experience and getting to knoww that adster is a big scam, also i will look into their publisher sites list and see if they deliver adster ads, if yes i will warn all them. Also i'm trying to find other companies to complie, at least to shut down their domain!

Cheers!
